The incoming PM said he feels honoured by his appointment as Prime Minister ahead of the swearing in ceremony today.
“[We’re] desperate to get to work and make things better for New Zealanders,” he said.
“The real work starts now.”
He said it is going to be “fun” working with David Seymour and Winston Peters who he got to know well over the past five weeks.
Luxon said it was obvious to him early on that he would need to work alongside the leaders in a collaboration.
“It was very much what I was thinking, and I think the other party leaders got there very quickly as well,” he said.
If Luxon is genuine in this approach, NZ should see some real change that’s much needed.
