With the revelations over the past few days with regard to TPM and the links to the Waipārera Trust, it seems obvious to us that Mr Henare needs to make an urgent complaint to the Electoral Commission for a full review.
With a margin of just over 40 votes it was a tight race, and unless there is a full investigation there will be a lingering murkiness over the whole saga.
Our view is that a complaint by Mr Henare is likely what will trigger a proper investigation.
