It appears that the Manurewa Marae is not the only one that requires an investigation with regard to allegations of election vote rigging and fraud.
Sources have told us that Hoani Waititi Marae, and Hoani Waititi Kura Kaupapa warrant an investigation. They are based in West Auckland.
Te Pāti Māori candidate Kapa-Kingi toppled then incumbent MP Kelvin Davis from the Te Tai Tokerau seat after special votes.
One source described the Marae as like the Easter Show with a carnival atmosphere, run by TPM and heavily supported by the Waipareira Trust, and Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency.
They held a ‘whanau day’ and had a huge concert.
They had erected three huge tents right by the stage and the sponsors for those tents were TPM, Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency and Maori TV.
We have also received some concerning information about the role Maori TV played with biased coverage – more to come on this on our next story.
Stay tuned.
