With TVNZ Breakfast host Jenny May Coffin being made to apologise live on air this morning for the disgraceful skit that played out on the show when they shot a Donald Trump doll, it still raises several questions.
Firstly was the apology really genuine given it was done first thing when the audience was likely very low at 6.07am.
Why not apologise multiple times so all the viewers could hear it?
Secondly the double standards. Paul Henry quit for laughing at someone’s name, yet if you incite violence, and laugh on national TV about killing someone because of your political bias, it appears there are no consequences.
It’s time for those involved in the on air ‘Trump doll skit’ to quit or be sacked.
