Nooses, and Nonsense. Another Day In Parliament.

Just when you think it cant get any worse, Te Pati Maori Co – leader, Rawhiti Waititi decides to pull off a stunt with a noose comment, and making out he and his party are being strangled by the 21 day ban.

Sadly for most of New Zealand, it’s just another day of deplorable, and pathetic nonsense. It was like watching toddlers having a tantrum.

Willie Jackson called them out saying that not all Maori voted for Te Pati Maori, and nor are all Maori happy with their behaviour.

Chris Hipkins (for some bizarre reason) went out on limb asking the House to allow Te Pati Maori to attend the Budget day debate, and rather than attend, Te Pati Maori refused attend. Hipkins looked like an idiot, but of course he was showing the voting public that Te Pati Maori are still a likely, and much needed coalition partner at the next election should they get enough votes. But many Labour voters will be very concerned at what that coalition could turn into.

It was just another sad day for democracy for NZ, and its time Parliament returns to some professional normality.

As far as we are concerned the 21 day ban is not enough.

That said, once we know more about the last election, Manurewa Marae, and the funding by Waiparera Trust, that might see the end of Te Pati Maori altogether for their electoral breaches.ie
