Don’t get us wrong, there is a place for everyone in Parliament. If you get elected then you have worked to be there.
That said the looming crisis for TPM with the Manurewa Marae, and Waiparera Trust, could prove that TPM did not follow the rules, and could have quite possibly committed fraud to make it to Parliament.
But there are rules that must be adhered to as a Minister.
TPM have a voter base, but it’s not all Maori like they would lead us to believe.
The never ending ’theatrical performances’ in the House are in fact hurting TPMs own voters, Maori, and in fact all of NZ.
TPM are disrupting the running of the country at a time when the cost of living crisis is still upon us, and the incumbent government are still struggling to get on top of all the debt, and social issues NZ is suffering from.
With all this carry on, and a VERY weak Speaker in Gerry Brownlee, the House when sitting appears to nothing more than a ’shit show’ that is being constantly disrupted.
That disruption is not helping the economy get back on it’s feet.
If TPM were genuine about serving their voters and their people, they would need to take a long hard look at themselves and realise they are achieving absolutely nothing.
We are the laughing stock on the international stage.
Yesterdays disgrace in the house is just yet another example of the ’theatrics’ that means nothing, and gains nothing.
Politicians are paid by the tax payer, and elected by the tax payer. Its time for the long suffering tax payer to get some value for money.
