Ray White Sends Us A Legal Letter 

In response to our 15 August story titled “Are Real Estate Agents Misusing www.homes.co.nz”, the Ray White office in question has decided to send us a threatening legal letter, albeit some 10 days later.  The letter is what you would expect – an attempt to bully, threaten and intimidate with various threats of court action, whilst providing no evidence to counter the statements we have made.  In the meantime, in the interests of fairness, we have followed up with both the Office Manager and the Agent in question for a response to our initial questions over their conduct with regard to the misuse of www.homes.co.nz  Should they continue to ignore our requests to what is a very simple set of questions needing answers, later today we will finally post those questions, along with the responses we have had from both Trade Me and www.homes.co.nz, and the readers can make their own judgement as to the conduct of the office and the agent.  This site is also investigating if there is a wider issue in this office, and indeed the industry, and today our researcher will start making contact with recent vendors who have sold homes through this office, asking them to contact www.homes.co.nz to see what activity has been logged against the property they have recently sold.  More to come…
