National, despite being rather dull, and unexciting, they do have 2 dependable and reasonably reliable coalition partner options in NZF and ACT.
For the most part, the current 3 way coalition has co-existed exceptionally well, and not once has there been a likelihood of any failure on the horizon.
Other than excessive media interference on Luxon, nothing has eventuated. In the end, Luxon’s time will come.
Labour, and that horrible little sanctimonious prick Chris Hipkins are an entirely different proposition. One all of NZ should be very wary of, as NZ it appears in some circles is considerably thicker than we all first thought.
Sure there will always be the ’tried and true’ left supporters – a base of about 30% there or thereabouts for Labour, but the coalition options they bring to the table should scare the shit out of any rational centre left voter.
Hipkins time as PM was a ‘gimme’ from Jacinda who abruptly walked out on the nation, and her party. He has no experience in managing a coalition.
It was not long ago that Hipkins himself said that Te Pati Maori were ’not ready for government’, and back then they had not splinted into the groups of TPM, and the now Independents.
The Green Party is well publicised as wanting to be involved in the finance role – that should be enough to turn every voter in NZ off a left leaning coalition.
And, from nowhere we now have the Labour hybrid called The Opportunities Party – just what real world experience does TOP bring? None.
None of the 3 coalition partners that Labour will likely need have ever been in government before, so they are bereft of any political experience at leading a country.
If a left leaning coalition were to get the numbers in November this year, god help us all – a fate worse than death.
