When Retards Want To Buy A Supermarket

The Greens’ policy announcement cites a Parliamentary Library estimate for their claimed acquisition cost of just $1.3 billion.

$1.3 billion to nationalise 120 supermarkets? 🤨

Something doesn’t add up. That works out at just $10.8 million per supermarket even before accounting for the two distribution centres.

For comparison, one supermarket business was reportedly valued at $50–60 million, while another owner reportedly paid $14 million for the fixtures and fittings alone.

Apparently, Chlöe Swarbrick can buy an entire supermarket for less than some grocers pay for the shelves and fridges. 😂

They’ve either found the bargain of a lifetime, made an another typo, or there’s a lot of explaining to do!
